a hayseed punk chick
i've grown up in small communities and have pretty much felt like i was the only punk around. the one time i had others around was when i was living in berwyn- next to chicago. i'm used to people shouting "freak!" and "woo, bad ass!" at me. i'm also used to people telling me it's not halloween. although this is all pretty much irrelavent, i felt i had the need to clarify that although i am not from the south [unless you count southern illinois], i feel that i am a hayseed punk. most of the scene that i have seen is small town scene- a close knit group of people who go to shows together, and try to put on local bands. i like my small scene, even though the music is infinatly better in chicago. but hell, that's what road trips are for, right?

Hello and welcome to my new community. My hope is to connect with others into the punk rock scene in small cities/towns and communities. There's a big country between New York and California, after all.

Please feel free to comment and/or post.
What are your favorite bands? What is your town's scene like?
